Did you know that the sun’s UV rays hold both beneficial and damaging properties to the human body?
The Pros: UV rays trigger the formation of Vitamin D in our bodies and are also used as a treatment for skin problems such as psoriasis, eczema and jaundice.
The Cons: Overexposure to UV rays’ (specifically UVA’s and UVB’s) can greatly increases one’s risk for developing skin cancer such as melanoma. UV radiation is also damaging to the eyes - potentially contributing to blurred vision, temporary blindness and even cataracts.
